ISDN
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a dial-up
product that uses digital technology to provide basic network connectivity
for corporate users. Although ISDN has, in many cases, been outdated
by ADSL, ISDN still enjoys wide use due to the fact that it is widely
available. ISDN also doesn't suffer from the user-to-central-office
distance limitations that affect ADSL. Additionally, ISDN has proven
to be an extremely reliable product.
ISDN is available
in either single channel (64Kbps) or dual channel (128Kbps) service.
Depending on your needs will determine which service is right for
you.
ISDN connectivity
requires that an ISDN line from your local phone company be installed
at your facility. An ISDN router must be placed that connects to
the ISDN circuit on one side and your existing LAN on the other.
This allows your LAN to communicate over the ISDN to our network
and the Internet. Maxuptime will assist in the ordering and installation
of all circuits and equipment.
ADSL
Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) provides
very cost-effective, high speed connectivity. Connectivity speeds
range from 128Kbps-384Kbps upstream (from your PC to the internet)
to 512Kbps-1.54Mbps downstream (from the internet to your PC). There
are several packages available with differing speed ranges depending
on your location, so be sure to ask your salesman about the products
available in your area.
ADSL is provisioned
over your existing phone lines. We furnish a "splitter"
that splits the ADSL signal from the voice signals on the phone
line. Your local phone service is not affected in any way.
T1
T1 is the most reliable
communication media available for the general public. Using technology
that is decades old, T1 brings 1.544 Mbps data service to your network.
A T1 delivers enough bandwidth to provide connectivity for larger
office environments. It can also be used for connectivity to web
servers. Maxuptime has the ability to combine multiple T1 circuits
for even faster connections.
DS-3
A DS-3 brings up to
45 Mbps of data bandwidth to your network. For those conditions
where you need large amount of traffic, a DS-3 is the answer. Maxuptime
utilizes DS-3 connections for private networking where customers
are aggregating multiple T1 circuits into a network.
Ethernet
Today, more and more buildings have fiber optic data
connections. If your building is one of these, it is likely that
we can provide you with a low-cost, high-bandwidth solution. We
can deliver up to 100 Mbps via ethernet connections. These connections
can be used for Internet access, private networks, or VLAN connectivity
with remote offices or business partners.
